Tithe is NOT a Christian Requirement p5
In part 5, we learn about the problem with calling it "tithes and offerings," as well as the corrupt origin of the "seed-faith" doctrine that has become popular today.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
-Psa 34:18

We have been going through this teaching on the false doctrine of tithe for quite a while now, however I haven't heard if any of these money-grubbing false teachers has used this verse to justify giving to the church building:

Ezekiel 44:30 KJV  And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
 ;D  ;)
Nehemiah 8:8 KJV — So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

That's a good one, Kenneth! However, you probably shouldn't be giving them ideas... LOL

Mat 23:23  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Is this not Jesus saying that we should pay tithes ?

No, he is not.
Jesus is saying that the Pharisees, who are under the OLD Covenant, should pay tithe.
Nehemiah 8:8 KJV — So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
