Always good to read the commentaries when they come out.
I'm wondering though if this sentence at the end of chapter 6 might need rewording slightly.
The wages are the reward earned from works, and thus, by sin, man earns death, but the gift of God to us, which He gives to those who He* have accepted repentance and faith, is His mercy, which overcomes death, granting us eternal life through faith in the blood sacrifice of His Son.
* I'm not sure that should be there
I hope I'm not picking. It might help a new Christian out there from scratching their head for a while until they realise it is slightly in error ..... unless it's me in error {gulp}.
Hopefully also an encouragement to know that there are people out there who do take the time to read and appreciate the work you have put in.
