She had a very funny personality, too. I never could get her used to a leash; she was terrified of it and refused to move when I put it on her. She also loved raw carrots! She would sit and stare at me if I was eating one, but the minute I looked directly at her, she would turn her head. As soon as she thought I wasn't looking, she would stare back at me. It was hilarious. (Of course, I rewarded her with a bit of my carrot after playing this game with her...)

Love that story about the carrots & head turning! I can see it in my mind's eye! Did she do the eyebrow twist too? LOL. While I was actively breeding, I remember reading that Papillons are the 4th smartest breed, but among toy breeds they are smartest. I don't doubt that at all, with my little brood! Oh, the antics! And I love to watch the Dance competitions and Agility courses with Papillons.
