What is a boundary survey? I'm curious what your dad's job was.

Also, I've had a lot of people email me with the name "Matt," so you'll have to be more specific or I won't know who I'm talking to.

Whether Jeanne explains an intention or not, my point is that the statement was meaningless. For example, if I say "Mary was the mother of Jesus" - that's a true statement. Then let's say Guy responds, "That reminds me of what Catholics teach." Yeah... and? There's no point to the statement. It doesn't add anything, but it does have a hanging implication that the average reader might pick up, which would be, "Hmm... if Catholics teach that, maybe I shouldn't say it," which is the wrong way to approach a subject.

For example, I believe the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God in English. Mormons teach the same thing. So what? I don't make my decisions on these things based on what other people may or may not believe. Ergo... I don't really concern myself with what some denomination teaches, especially when they name themselves after a man:
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
-1Co 3:4

As far as I understand it, those people are saying "I am of Calvin," and that's contradictory to New Testament doctrine. Lutherians, Calvinists... those are brands or titles that should not be, if one follows the Word of God.

7
Well, I'm not a Calvinist.

Religious Cults / Re: False Interpretation of Aliens

I'm working on a project to address that subject. It's just going to be a long time in the making because there is so much disinformation out there.

Religious Cults / False Interpretation of Aliens
« on: March 22, 2017, 12:26:03 PM »
Some of you who have been around our ministry for a long time will remember a guy by the name of Tony Breeden. This guy RAGED hardcore at the teaching I did on Christian rock because he was a heavy metal guru. Something was telling me to check him out the other day, and so I looked him up and he has a new blog site.

He's apparently published a new book that is supporting aliens. Again, for those of you who've been around our ministry a long time, you'll know my position is that aliens do exist, but they're devils, not life from another planet. It's demonic activity, and I do believe that people have been abducted, and there are UFOs, but there is a lot of demonic activity going on in the world that people are completely oblivious to. However, Breeden (who I don't believe at all is actually saved because he testimony demonstrated that clearly) has taken on the interpretation that they are beings from another planet, and is so fervent about this interpretation, that he dares to question his holy sacred cow, Ken Ham.

General Discussion / Re: When is a person "born again"?
« on: March 22, 2017, 12:16:15 PM »
He didn't "force" you to do anything; you simply decided to investigate a topic you hadn't studied thoroughly before. You're treating this like an "iron sharpeneth iron" situation, when it was a "goat trampleth house" situation. Any of you can have discussions over these topics if you choose, and any of you can study this stuff any time you choose; it doesn't take a scoffing, railing, and striving person (who denies being those things) to come here to initiate that.

The entire subject was his confusion over 1Co 15. That's a long chapter. You're asking me to write an entire commentary on 1Co 15, and then write an additional expose on his false doctrine, which would probably take me a day or two, especially since I haven't read everything he's written on it yet.

If you go back and read, he said "I see things a little differently" -- meaning that he was viewing things through his own eyes, which is why he didn't say "The Bible teaches that differently." He also said he could not figure out HOW God would do something in a particular way, which is why he refused to believe it, but as I pointed out in the new article I just published, how God does something is not a prerequisite to believe in what He does and says.

I mean, just look at what James said to me: "You're a real piece of work, a control freak through and through." If a man was in your home, spouting nonsense as if he understood the Bible, deceiving your family, and then when you asked him about his belief on something, he responds, "I'm not telling you anything!" and he calls you a control freak for daring to ask; you all would kick him out of your house too.

No matter how you personally feel Jeanne, I stand firm on kicking him out of here, and I know you seemed buddy-buddy with the guy when he came in, but if that's the kind of person (full of strife and contention) that you like hanging out with, I think you have some more studying to do.

He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife:
-Pro 28:25

Habakkuk talking to God said:
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
-Hab 1:3-4

We can study these subjects without people like that in our midst. You guys are welcome to do a Sat night group chat over this thread if you'd like.

If he had not professed to believe in the Word of God, I would have tolerated him longer, but when he claims to be one of us, and refuses to tell us what he believes (especially since I never saw one humble word in his writing), whether he's born-again or not, he's not welcome back unless he repents... but we can't even tell if he knows about repentance or not because he wouldn't tell me what he believes about it.

We've had a substantial amount of new members to our forum who have been humble and kind, and have made great points and brought up new topics, so we don't need people like him. If he ever repents and gets right with God, then he's welcome back. Anyone else is welcome to comment on this subject and give their reviews and exposes if they like; I'm not locking this thread, so use discuss it as much as you want.

I knew he'd go on a rant, so I just waited for him to finish it before I kicked him out, since he refuses to leave peacefully. Now that he's gone, for the rest of you, let me show you what he did. He went to Matthew 21, and he was accusing me of being like the chief priests and elders of the temple, but he was completely blind to being guilty of what he was accusing me of.

And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
-Mat 21:23

So the chief priests came in and started asking him a bunch of questions. Sound familiar? That's exactly what James was doing. To which, Christ asked them a question about their beliefs:

The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men?
-Mat 21:25

Just from his question alone, they were afraid. They knew he knew something they didn't understand, so they reasoned how to get out of the public embarrassment they might suffer for contradicting themselves.

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
-Mat 21:25-26

So how did they handle the matter? How did they avoid this embarrassment of contradicting themselves? They simply refused to answer, and because they refused to answer, Christ refused to answer them.

And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
-Mat 21:27

He tried to make himself look better by accusing me of being holier-than-thou, which is why he made that comment about rabbi, deacon, etc, but the fact is that he did the very thing he was accusing me of (indirectly via "questions" of course, since he won't be direct with what he thinks and believes). I don't believe he's a Christian at all; not to say that he isn't one, I simply don't believe him. I could spend all evening writing out a hundred errors he made in Scripture during this thread, but like I said, I'm not wasting my time with someone who doesn't want to hear, just as Christ didn't waste His time either.

And yes, things do get deleted here, but I only had to do that once, and that was with a guy who made mock accounts trying to get back on the forum after he was banned. We ban by IP now, so that's much harder to do. I openly allowed James to make his final rant because I wanted to let him prove my suspicions about him without my having to do any work to prove it.

I pray the Lord Jesus Christ would bless him and his family with all their needs throughout the coming week, and I thank God he's gone now. Let's get back to work. :)

That's right, I'm not going to explain it to you because in the end, you really don't want to know anything about the doctrines of the Bible. I'd just be wasting my time. Every word you write is verifying my initial suspicions were correct.

You made a good point though; would I let someone in my home under those circumstances, and the answer is no. So leave. I pay for this server; your in my house. If you can't answer a simple question about what you believe, but you think I'm going to let you sit in my home and make a mockery of the Bible while you feign understanding and use the many questions fallacy in attempt to deceive Christians, think again.

I'll give you the grace of leaving as peacefully as you came, but if you're in need of assistance to find the door, I'll be happy to help. If you want to teach people your heresies and hide in every corner you find, then go start your own forum and leave us in peace.

Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
-Proverbs 22:10

Please don't add anything; I just wanted a simple, direct answer from James for a simple, direct question. This isn't rocket science, I'm just asking for James' belief on the doctrine of repentance. Maybe he has to go look it up first? I don't know; but if he can't answer that, then I'm not going to respond to anything he's talking about here.

Why?

Why is there such a hesitation in professing what you believe?
