Bible Discussion / Re: The Curse of Canaan
« on: October 04, 2021, 12:13:04 AM »
Like a dog with a bone I just can't let this topic go and have been thinking some more about it.

As Jeanne also wrote and has always been speculated that the race of giants came through the lineage of Ham's wife.

In the scripture is mentioned the land of Canaan, named after Canaan, Ham's son.  However there is no land of Cush, or Mizraim, or Phut.

Could it be that all of the sons are fully grown adults, but Canaan has already begun to show a level of aggression and arrogance and maybe even stature and has been voicing that they are going to be leaving and setting up a city and a land named after himself.  With whatever happened with what Ham did to his father Noah, it might be possible that their departure was imminent and after whatever he did he was never going to be able to look his father or his brothers in the eye again and because they were off he was never going to have to.  Maybe it was even Canaan that had said things prior to what Ham did and it was Canaan who put his father up to it.  Hence possibly why Noah cursed Canaan and those in the land of Canaan after him.

Gen 9:20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

This is specifically talking about Noah being drunk and naked in his tent, not his wife. Also, when Reuben defiled his father's wife/concubine, (and other places where sons took their fathers' wives) it is specifically spelled out in the Bible, not left to speculation.

That is an excellent point. I should have been more on the ball there and examined that angle as well. It was actually rattling around in the back of my mind, but I got a bit too caught up in the speculation. Went down a little rabbit hole, in a manner of speaking. As you say, if Ham had defiled his mother, surely the Bible would have clearly stated that.

Quote
That being said, I've always wondered what Ham did that was so wrong. I mean, did he know his father was naked before going into his tent? Did he know that he would end up seeing his father naked and do it on purpose? Should he have knocked first before going in in the first place? I also have to wonder about Ham's attitude when he told his brothers about it; if he was kind of snickering and joking about it, then yeah, that would have been extremely disrespectful and worthy of reprimand.

There may have been some sort of homosexual component to it (a lot of people believe this, but of course a lot of people believing something doesn't make it true). However, that is again entering into the realms of speculation, and where the Bible is silent on something, we should be very careful about "filling in the gaps".

Yes, I had re-read the original part of scripture numerous times and could see that it didn't fit exactly.  Jeanne is right about filling in gaps.  I thought I would write it none the less in case someone else had more insight.  Although that particular incident happened between Noah and Ham there might have been previous incidents of wrong behaviour.  I'm still totally puzzled also about why Noah said what he did about Canaan but that it also came about that Canaan also had the giants.  Maybe Noah just happened to say what he did out of a sort of rage or embarrassment.  He had been drinking alcohol previously to the point that he was drunken.  Drunken people don't necessarily say the best of things or even the next day when they are still feeling the results of the alcohol.

On the giants side of things it would seem unusual that of the people on the ark that God had allowed one of them to have a genetic abberation perhaps as a result of genetic manipulation of man's genetics before the flood.  Having a ticking time bomb on what is a fresh new beginning for mankind doesn't seem to fit.

of the present day, Canaan was incredibly wicked. As evil as the world is right now, there are still some sexual sins (like incest and bestiality) that are frowned upon. No doubt there are people committing them, but they're still considered crimes. Unlike homosexuality, which is "socially acceptable", most people still find incest and bestiality abhorrent (and rightly so). But Canaan embraced them. Leviticus 18 gives us a long list of forbidden sexual practices (also outlawing child sacrifice), and just before that, God singles out Canaan for special mention:

Do you think perhaps you had the answer there.  If Ham defiled his father and his mother by having sexual relations with his mother and Canaan was the offspring.  That still makes Canaan to be one of Ham's children.

Noah's wife's is also Noah's nakedness.

Leviticus 18 Authorized (King James) Version
6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord. 7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 8 The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.

That's definitely possible. After all, Moab and Ammon were neighbours of Canaan and similarly depraved. Their foundation was the incest between Lot and his daughters. So Canaan could well have had similar beginnings.

Reuben was judged because of what he did with Bilhah, something that impacted all his descendants:

Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. (Genesis 49:3-4)

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. (1 Chronicles 5:1)

If Ham committed the sin that Reuben did (even worse though, because it would have been with his biological mother), then it would certainly make sense that Canaan was cursed because of that. In any case, this is certainly a sin that God judges quite severely.

This is what could also account for there being the giants in the land.  The way God had made mankind and the changes made to the seed that followed on from such an incestuous situation.  Hence the reason maybe that God wanted them all wiped out completely from the face of the earth because that corruption of the seed was going to cause serious problems in the future.

Remember that New Zealand was told not to talk to each other. That was what they said. Why? They don't want you all to communicate what's going on, and specifically, they don't want you all finding out what they've done. It seems like some very serious criminal charges are coming, and the only way they can survive is if you all don't communicate and rally together.

Because I didn't look at the Lame Stream News I didn't read that the other criminal had died.

Yes, almost certainly they don't want people talking to eachother because they want to try and prevent people rallying together.  When the news comes out it is going to happen anyway.  They will get a fair trial before a fair court and will be dealt with.

My sister texted me to comment that she saw Jacinda Adern on TV and she was visibly upset, near tears and looking very worried.  Even Bloomfield was stumbling a bit on words.  Hmmm.

For those who don't know, that's the New Zealand Prime Minister and Ashley Bloomfield is the Director-General of Health.  New Zealand has had the complete lockdown extended from Friday night until Wednesday  ...   that's for the whole country.

Oh dear, they are all in tears and worried and had to do an extension.  I would say they know it's all up and they know what is coming.  Next week may well be the end of their tyranny.  They might have even watched Mike Lindell's Cyber Symposium last week.  Intelligence have it all.  Criminals hate that kind of thing.

The same people who did that Three Little Pigs video have just released a new story based on The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

It's called The Boy Who Cried Nazi, and it's fair to say that the ending really packs a punch!  :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6vvUpEFsYg&ab_channel=FirearmsUnknown

Love it, though the end was really rather predictable... LOL

With the time we are living in the story is rather out of place.  In the USA and New Zealand and Australia and Britain it is becoming very apparent who is working in secret for foreign conspirators.  They know who they are and they are going to be caught and rounded up and given a fair trial before a fair court and dealt with as appropriate.  What?  ... that's Bob, he's an Attorny General  ...  and Mike, he's a Sherrif   ....  and John, he's a State Senator.  You get the drift  :-\

We are living in a time when searching for truthful information is critical just as it always has been.  Because information was found on the internet that does not make it either correct or incorrect.  Correct facts always need to be established before an open forum with credible and well researched information.  Today, correct information can only be found on the internet because the only other source is main stream media.

Proverbs 25:2 Authorized (King James) Version
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Acts 17 Authorized (King James) Version
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Here's another doctor (actually, a pathologist) explaining what these jabs do to the brain, heart, and other organs:

I hope you and your husband are safe at this time Jeanne.  I'm fully aware of the tyranny that is being unleashed on Australia and especially Melbourne at this time.

I wrote to the Police here again yesterday and basically was given the cancel culture and was told to take the "vaccine" which now identifies that police officer as a criminal under the Nuremburg Code for telling someone they should take part in a medical experiment.  It is especially worse when it is a person in "authority" telling a person they should take part in a medical experiment.

May God put His hedge of protection around all of us His servants at this time and keep us safe.

That was excellent viewing.

It is interesting to compare that with the actions of the "authorities" on 6th Jan 2021 at the Capitol against ordinary members of the public who were also gathering in a public place in a peaceful and non-aggressive manner.

Yes, that was good seeing the actions of the officers who knew the real law and that if a case was made of it and went to court then they would lose that case outright.

The officers should have kept onside with the public and also commented they can now see that the town rules are in violation of the freedom of the Constitution and that they will take proceedings to have the ruling changed to bring it in to line with the Constitution and they should have also commented that he can be in touch with them via email for regular updates as to what is happening for those changes to be affected.

You wouldn't want to be holding your breath waiting for that to happen though.

In New Zealand, the Pfizer vaccine is about to become available for people aged 50+. I'm in the next age bracket down, so it will probably be available to me to take before the month is out. Oh joy.  ::)

I wouldn't even worry about any age bracket you're in and that the death injection has become available for your age group for those who wanted to kill themselves.  I'm very close to turning 60 but I have absolutely no idea about the roll-out of their homocidal plans for people my age. As I don't ever hear or see or read the main stream media apart from reading some of the local news or having a skim over anything else major that has happened.

As much as you can it pays to fly under the radar.

It makes me think of the older days when there use to be advertisements like : 80% of doctors recommend {insert brand name of cigarettes here}.  And people smoked cigarettes because they saw advertisements without stopping to think about the damage that that smoke would be causing to their respiratory system.  Must be OK, it has a doctor's approval.  The shop owners were just as guilty for selling the cigarettes.  Just the same as those giving the death injections.

COVID-19 Court Victory For All

I was sent the following of an Alberta Canada man who took on the courts and the whole of the Government in Canada and won his case.  This is a landmark case and the process can be used in just about anywhere in the world.  This has the legality to end Masking, Vaccination and Quarantine not just for Alberta but for everywhere.

It's all the stuff we already knew but he won his court case with the information and he couldn't be silenced and shut down.

Everyone that has read Chris's book on feminism knows he layed a thorough case on how the American female is the most privileged creature to ever walk the face of the Earth.

And not just the American female but rather in all countries that have allowed themselves to come under the pernicious evil schemes of the megalomaniac media, non-thinking corrupt politicians and non-thinking community officials.

I know first hand of the experience of trying to discuss my wife/ex-wife's behaviour with her in a perfectly civil manner, only to then have her go and claim to everyone that I was abusing her all the time.

I'm not sure if you have read Chris' article/book on vaccines because he has put a lot of work in to it and made a very good job of it.  There is absolutely nothing to be gained from any "vaccine" but there is lots to lose.  When one looks down in to the real science and the factual information it is easily found that the whole "vaccine" scenario is a scam.

I have absolutely no problem praying for the members of our Government, but there does come a time when for certain crimes it is quite suitable for someone to be sentenced to death.  Being sentenced to death could well be the very best thing that has ever happened to them because it might give the opportunity for them to be given the true gospel and for them to come to repentence rather than living out the rest of their lives without the fear of what they are going to face when judged.  The last thing you want to see is just another tomb stone with "Rest In Peace" written on it.  According to the world no-one goes to Hell  ...  well apart from corrupt politicians that have caused the deaths of thousands of people that is.

Keeping all of the criminals alive but forced to work in public view on a chain gang might also be a good option.  Young people would gain an understanding of how society works and they would see the end result of trendy lefty ideas.  Way better than the "Social Studies" they teach in the schools.  The communist tyrants on the chain gang would get a first hand view of their ideas in action and what they considered was acceptable for others has come to visit them.

Proverbs 11 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord:
but a just weight is his delight.

2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom.

3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them:
but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
    but righteousness delivereth from death.

5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way:
but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them:
but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish:
and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble,
and the wicked cometh in his stead.

9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth:
and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

I've just been watching this very interesting video. It's Dr Sam Bailey's latest offering, and contains plenty of interesting information and food for thought. She says more about COVID itself than the vaccine, but still makes one or two relevant points about the latter.

In other news, the final stage of the vaccine rollout has been announced for NZ. Our PM also got her second jab, so she's "fully protected" now.  ::) She described getting the vaccine as "an act of kindness", although she forgot to add that the kindness is really to Big Pharma's profits. Because as alluded to towards the end of the video, the pandemic is making some people an awful lot of money ...

I have to wonder if some of these politicians and celebrities getting the jab are really getting the the so-called 'vaccine' or just a placebo. If they're getting the real deal, I have to think they don't really know what's going on and we probably won't have to worry about them for much longer, anyway. I guarantee you that people like Bill Gates will have nothing to do with it, and I doubt Fauci got the real thing, either.

Yeah, she won't have got the death injection.  As for being "protected", maybe she hasn't been watching the rubbish media she is so much a part of and that rubbish media is claiming there is no protection from any so-called "vaccine" and that fully "vaccinated" people are still susceptible to the "virus".  (My source of news information on this is from the Gateway Pundit). I'm so disgusted looking at New Zealand news sites I only gloss over the news there in a very short time to see if anything major has happened in NZ).

If I had my way she would get a series of injections alright, but that would be lead injections from a firing squad.

Looking at the Word of God though, it would seem that we are purchased and a price has been paid for our redemption.
No doubt.
We, as born again Christians, and the saints throughout time, have been paid for by the blood of Christ.  The immeasurable cost of The Atonement has been paid.  The only thing missing for salvation of the lost is repentance and faith. With that sins would be remitted.

However, when someone says that Jesus paid the price for our sin, or the sin of all mankind, then the gospel makes no sense.  Everyone would be freed from any punishment for sin.  There would be nothing left for God to punish sinners for if the price of everyones sin had already been paid.  Or God would be unjust for punishing someone who had already had his crimes "paid in full" for.

Nonetheless, my broader point remains.
Applying unscriptural analogies or traditions to Biblical concepts will lead to unscriptural (ie, false) doctrines.

When the discussion came up about Jesus paying the price for sins I sort of had the feeling I had seen something on this in the not too distant past but I couldn't put my finger on it.  I found it  :o
