Introduce Yourself / Re: New Member- Returned from Banning
« on: July 17, 2021, 11:11:46 PM »
McKenna, I don't believe anyone has stopped praying for you. But the bottom line is, whether we accept you as brethren or not makes no difference, because GOD is the one you need to worry about. Chris can't save you, and neither can any of the rest of us. Even if no one here had the discernment to see what you were doing, and we just welcomed you into our fellowship with open arms, it would do you absolutely no good at all because

John 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

When you start worrying more about what God thinks of you than what we think, that would be a huge step in the right direction.

Hi McKenna,

With your new introduction, I feel more like there is a person here that I can actually have a conversation with, which wasn't the case before. I was at a loss as to how to relate to you. But I really enjoyed reading what you had to say here.

Kenneth brought up a good point. I know you have apologised to Chris and straightened things out with him, and I would like to know that you have done the same with Tim and Ellie, too.

On a side note, I found it very interesting that you mentioned William Schnoebelen, and his involvement in Ms Zilinski's 'ministry'. I hope Chris will forgive me for bringing this up again, as we have had somewhat of a misunderstanding regarding him. I've always been a bit sceptical of his claims to be an ex-Satanist and high level Freemason. The reason for this is that there was a guy back in the '80s named Mike Warnke, who wrote a book call The Satan Seller, in which he detailed his experiences as a Satanic high priest and how he was delivered from all that by coming to Christ. The book was very popular, and Warnke then went on to doing speaking tours (I actually saw him in person once) and being a guest on various 'Christian' televisions programs. However, it came out in 1992 that Warnke had made up the whole story; he had never been a Satanist as he claimed, nor had he ever been in the military as he claimed in the book. The whole thing was a fabrication from start to finish, and I've always wondered if Schnoebelen might not have done the same thing. (If I remember correctly, he also claimed to have helped Gary Gygax create the game Dungeons & Dragons by sharing his 'expertise' in witchcraft to make the game more realistic.) Anyway, ever since the Mike Warnke incident, I have never again taken anyone who claims to be an ex-Satanist at face value just on their word alone, without some corroborating evidence. Especially someone who claims to have been in the highest levels of witchcraft, Freemasonry, or other secret society. I'm not saying that there are not ex-witches and Satanists who have come to Christ, because I'm sure there have been. But when someone starts going on various ministry shows making claims of being in the 'highest levels' of these things, my radar starts pinging, and I tend to approach that person with caution rather than just believe everything they say they've done. John Todd was another one who claimed to have been born into a family of witches before converting to Christianity and who was also later exposed as a fraud. Bottom line, if someone is cashing in on their witchcraft/Satanist/secret society experiences, writing books and doing speaking tours talking about it, I tend to think something's fishy. I'm not saying Schnoebelen is definitely a liar, either. Just that without more corroborating evidence from other parties, I don't buy it.

Praise the Lord! While I supported your decision to ban her from the forum due to her attitude and strange way of writing, I would now welcome her back and would even look forward to talking to her in the future. I had also sent her the link to your book, Why Millions, and the repentance article in my very first reply to her introduction post. I'm very glad she has at least heard the audio teaching on that!

The only thing she ever said to me is that I should wear a girdle. And even shared a link to where I could buy one. ???
She also said in her short time here that it is no problem for men to wear skirts/kilts.  :-\

Maybe it's just me, but that's just weird.  ;D

She actually told you to wear to corset, not a girdle, but yeah, that was a bit weird...  ::)

This sounds a lot like the 'Christian' counseling/psychology garbage in that it's just another way for people to not take responsibility for their own sin. Whether they can blame it on a 'mental illness' or some imagined demon/devil, it amounts to the same thing; their sin is not their fault, so they can't be held accountable, which means they have no need to humble themselves or 'feel bad' about anything they've done.

I, too, pray that she will one day be able to see the truth.

Thank you, Chris. That was what I was thinking, but didn't quite know how to phrase it. I wasn't quite sure how to put it that Jesus paid the price for us, but not our sin.

McKenna, if you're still reading this, did you notice that outside of the Admin and Moderators, NO ONE replied to you except for Rowan? And he joined the forum around the same time you did! That's because no one here could relate to you. And the reason we couldn't relate to you is that you are not of the same mind we are. Chris didn't say anything to you that I wasn't already thinking, and I'm sure others on here feel the same way. How did he know that you would not hear/understand what he (and others) were trying to tell you? Because we've seen the same attitude in many other people over the years.

What was said you to was not said in anger or malice, but in trying to get you to understand the true Gospel of Jesus Christ so that you would NOT end up in hell! However, you didn't want to hear that, so you struck out in pride and anger, further proving that what Chris said to you was correct.

Thank you for that reply, McKenna. I would urge you again to please read/listen to those teachings I posted to you earlier, as you will see from them that the word 'repentance' means 'grief and Godly sorrow for wrongdoing', NOT a change of heart/mind. Repentance is a gift from God.

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Your definition of repentance implies a works-based salvation, not one that is completely the gift of God.

Even a standard dictionary will define repentance as 'being sorry for what you have done' or something along those lines.

Okay, so I read the rest of the article and looked at the footnotes. It does appear that the author got his informtion from a couple of Jewish encyclopaedias and at least one book on Jewish history. But the part that I specifically have a problem with is this:

In the same way that the Jewish groom's arrival was preceded by a shout, so Christ's arrival to take the Church will be preceded by a shout (1 Thess. 4:16).

Similar to the Jewish bride's return with the groom to his father's house after her departure from her home, the Church will return with Christ to His Father's house in heaven after she is snatched from the earth to meet Him in the air (1 Thess. 4:17; John 14:2-3).

In the same manner as the Jewish wedding party found wedding guests assembled in the groom's father's house when they arrived, so Christ and the Church will find the souls of Old Testament saints assembled in heaven when they arrive. These souls will serve as the wedding guests.

Parallel to the custom of the Jewish groom and bride entering into physical union after their arrival at the groom's father's house, thereby consummating the marriage that had been covenanted earlier, Christ and the Church will experience spiritual union after their arrival at His Father's house in heaven, thereby consummating their relationship that had been covenanted earlier.

Corresponding with the Jewish bride remaining hidden in the bridal chamber for a period of seven days after arrival at the groom's father's house, the Church will remain hidden for a period of seven after arrival at Christ's Father's house in heaven. While the seven year Tribulation Period is taking place on the earth, the Church will be in heaven totally hidden from the sight of those living on the earth.

Just as the Jewish groom brought his bride out of the bridal chamber at the conclusion of the seven days with her veil removed, so that all could see who his bride was, so Christ will bring His Church out of heaven in His Second Coming at the conclusion of the seven year Tribulation Period in full view of all who are alive, so that all can see who the true church is (Col. 3:4).

Also, at the end, where it talks about the significance of this analogy, there is what amounts to a sinner's prayer:

This analogy between Jewish marriage customs and Christ's relationship to the Church is very beautiful, but what practical significance does it have for today?

The answer to this question is twofold. First, if you have never taken Jesus Christ personally to be your Saviour from sin, it has great significance for you. Christ came to this earth and died on a cross for the purpose of paying the penalty for your sins. Through the shedding of His blood He paid the price necessary to purchase you to be part of His Bride, the Church. He thereby established a new covenant through which you can enter into a special relationship with Him.

Every time the gospel of Jesus Christ is declared to you, Christ is proposing that you enter into this special relationship with Him. In essence He is saying to you:

"I, Jesus, take thee, sinner, to be My Bride. And I do promise and covenant before God The Father and these witnesses, to be thy loving and faithful Saviour and Bridegroom; in sickness and in health, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in faithfulness and in waywardness, for time and for eternity.18"

Just as the proposal that the Jewish bridegroom made could be accepted or rejected, so Christ's proposal to you can be accepted or rejected. If you reject it throughout this lifetime, then you never will be rightly related to Jesus Christ. The tragic result will be that you will spend eternity separated from God and Christ in the eternal lake of fire (Rev.20:11-15).

If, however, you accept Christ's proposal, then your sins will be forgiven, and you will enter into that relationship that makes you part of His Bride, the Church. In addition, you will go to be with Him when He comes to take the Church, and you will remain with Him forever in great blessing. The way in which you can accept Christ's proposal is quite simple. If you sincerely believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He came to this earth, died for your sins and rose from the dead, then respond to Him as follows:

"I, sinner, take Thee, Jesus, to be my Saviour. . . And I do promise and covenant before God and these witnesses to be Thy loving and faithful Bride; in sickness and in health, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, for time and for eternity.19"

The rest of the analogy does seem to make sense, however, I'm still a bit sceptical about it in light of the part that is clearly wrong. I'd have to study it out a bit more, and maybe others here would be able to shed some more light on the subject.

Dylan, you can't rely on symbolism to 'prove' the Bible or to explain the parts you don't fully understand. Remember, secret societies such as the Freemasons and others are heavily into symbolism, too. Not only that, but this very symbolism is what is being used to promote false doctrine! The whole thing falls apart if you don't believe in a Pre-Trib Rapture.

Hmmm... I wonder if there were no Jewish websites explaining this because it was never really a Jewish custom to begin with? It wouldn't be the first time some religious leader or organisation just totally made something up to make it fit a certain narrative. They're no different to politicians or other propagandists in that regard sometimes...

Jeanne thats a really good question I heard it from my father in law a while ago. Sorry if any of its incorrect i was typing it by memory. The reason its a good question is  I only looked a little online about it. I found a couple articles online and theres books written about it but i didnt dive any deeper than that. I should look into things more before i post it.
I believed what he said because my mind went straight to the parable of the 10 virgins. I understand the meaning of that parable but the actual events that happen in the parable never made since to me like the virgins waiting in the bridechamber for the groom to call them doesnt actually make since to me so when he told me that it made since. Anyway heres a link i found online about it. http://www.biblestudymanuals.net/jewish_marriage_customs.htm

I didn't read this whole thing, but I read most of it. Enough to see that it was promoting the Pre-Trib Rapture theory, anyway, and that is false doctrine. The church will meet Christ in the air AT His Second Coming, not some period BEFORE. Jesus is only coming back ONCE. See more details here:

http://www.creationliberty.com/articles/trib.php

This article also seems to be promoting the idea of a 'sinner's prayer' in order to be saved, and that's a whole 'nother problem...

Hi Jeanne

I can't see anything because a reader has to log in to the website to see anything.  Even that first page seems to have had too much work put in to it to make it hyper-wizzy rather than just being simple for the dissemination of information.  The magnet information might have been interesting if I had been able to read it.

My apologies, Kevin. I had thought this was made public. I do have a subscription to this site, but it's a video, not anything you can read. Anyway, I downloaded the video and uploaded it privately to Rumble, and you should be able to see it here:

Rowan, it's interesting that you said you could never learn Navajo, because that's the language that was used for the Code Talkers in WWII. They actually used Navajo Indians to talk about classified information because that was the one code the Nazis were never able to crack!

Hi McKenna, Rowan brought up some very good points. If you have not read/listened to the following teachings, I would urge you to do so for more clarification on what he was talking about. The first article is:

Is Repentance Part of Salvation?

And the audio for that teaching can be found here:

https://youtu.be/NEI_H3QUb7Q?t=20

The second teaching I would recommend is:

Why Millions of Believers on Jesus Are Going to Hell

The audio for that one is here:

Wow, Rowan, that was quite the intro! I can relate to so much of what you have struggled with, too. Other than your experiences with porn, almost everything else you said was almost like I was reading about myself. Even though you pretty much gave us your entire life history, I want to thank you for sharing (though it was probably more than most people care to read all at one time...)

Anyway, welcome to the forum, and I look forward to having more discussions with you in the future.

The verse that comes to my mind is this:

Galations 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Is 'the law' now defined as 'flat earth'? Where in the Bible does is say that we need to dig up and expose every lie of the devil? Don't these people realise that by doing that you HAVE to follow what the world teaches? Whereas, if they would just continually study their Bibles, Satan's lies would expose themselves and there would be no need to continually harp on them.
