Evangelism / Re: Open Air Preaching
« on: December 02, 2022, 10:09:21 AM »
It's been a long time since I've watched these guys videos so I couldn't send you anything. However, I only watched a small number of their videos to see their Calvinist doctrine coming through.

You are correct to point out the inconsistency with street preaching and Calvinism's "predestination".

I don't think they overtly preach for people to become Calvinists, but, if you are familiar with it you will hear it coming through.
If you are only familiar with the true doctrine of Christ you will know something is wrong, but you might not be able to put your finger on it.

I've heard Gospel Invasion preachers often preaching the false doctrine of Calvinism.

Most of the street preachers I know of preach false doctrine, especially on repentance.
And the vast majority don't care if the ones they preach with preach doctrine they don't agree with. They aren't interested in sanctifying themselves.

Bible Discussion / Re: Evil Spirits & Souls Passing Through Water
« on: October 22, 2022, 01:02:20 PM »
How come some people are stuck in the sea and not in Hell with everyone else who died in their sin?
Why are the dead called out of the sea for judgement, but not out of the mountains and out of the desert and out of the jungle?
Why are some of the dead in Hell AND some in the sea?
 ???

Maybe this question feels personal to me because I spent a lot of time down in the oceans and seas around the world and I feel akin to the many submariners who died there.

That is an interesting question.
How come some souls not in Hell but in the sea when judgement day starts?  ???
I don't recall anywhere in Scripture where the sea is described as a place of tranquility, (except when Jesus forced it to calm down), or a nice place to be when worshipping the Lord..

Wild Emails @ CLE / Re: An Example of a Letter I Won't Answer

Maybe to make himself feel justified.
I bet if he didn't write you, and possibly others, he would have absolutely nothing whereby to justify himself as a Christian.

James 2:18 KJV — Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Here's what I was looking for:

Please note those of today who claim to be Israel and Jews are a 100% perversion. Not a single drop of Biblical Israeli blood exists in these Yiddish Babylonian Talmudic frauds. Even their 6 million WW2 swindle of the Germans is more proof of these anti Christ pagans.

I expected somewhere towards the end would be the real reason he was writing. He just wanted to spend some antisemitism. That's what he was really doing. The rest of that rambling letter was just cover.

Psalm 91:7-10 KJV — A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

He may have lied about the name Adam or Brian or even both names.
If a guy named Charles shows up in the near future I'm going to be cautious.  8)

Bible Discussion / Re: Friendship
« on: August 23, 2022, 10:36:47 PM »
My question to the group is: Has keeping and finding friends been a particular struggle for you especially in the past few years of this covid deception, and what are you doing about it?

Over the past several years I've met very few Christians, mostly just those in this group.  I have no problem with being friendly with coworkers, customers and neighbors, but for someone to be a personal friend, like-mindedness is a must. How can you have fellowship with someone who enjoys things that the Lord hates? Or with a person who rejects scripture in favor of their own feelings or traditions?

Though I've lost many people over the last couple of years it has been a continuing trend over the last decade or so.  Once I realized that I needed to judge the people around by the miraculous Book I held in my hands my decisions became simple, though often grievous.
Loneliness isn't something to be taken lightly, but we do have to take it.

What do I do about? I make the most of the opportunities to spend time with my Brothers and Sisters, though it is seldom in person.  Because God is good I have been able to meet a handful of those in this group in person from time to time.  I also pray that the Lord will bless me with more of what I certainly don't deserve.

... Tim taught me how to do the PDF's the way that he used to do them and I have been working on some
That's good to know because the last I heard what that PDF's weren't being done anymore and it would have been confusing to see that they actually were being done.

It only took a two day operation to catch these 12 perps here in Nashville.
It also seems they are getting help for some of the victims of this sex trafficking.

I took it to the dump this morning.
Nonetheless, how does one make a bootable copy of Linex on a thumb drive?
Is there an instructional video I could follow?

Kenneth, but did you not back anything up?
All the videos are on YouTube except the ones from last Saturday I'd hadn't finished processing yet.
I've started downloading them, but it's going to take quite a long time at 150 - 200KB per/sec. It is actually 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 that I don't have copies of on hand.
Files from '16 - '18 I have on a 5TB HDD.
My plan now is to use a SSD to process videos and then transfer them to that 5TB HDD, which I will keep unplugged when not actually transferring files to minimize wearing and tear.

General Discussion / SSD recommendation?
« on: May 26, 2022, 02:34:23 PM »
While processing videos on Sunday my 4TB external Hard Drive started to chirp like a bird and, no surprise, stopped functioning.
I took it to a computer repair shop on my route and for $20, after they had it for a couple of days, they told me they tried to copy the data from it but it didn't work.
It seems I've lost all my archived videos from 2021 and 2022.  :-\

The repairman recommended a Solid State Hard Drive because it has no moving parts and is more reliable.
Therefore I'm going to have to invest in one of those, but I'm not sure if one brand is better than another, and they cost about 5x more than a traditional HDD.
I've found SSD's made by PNY and SanDisk.
Does anyone have an educated opinion on a brand that may be a better investment than another?

Introduce Yourself / Re: Kevin (Anvilhauler's) Testimony

The reason I liked the name all these years and kept it was because it taught me a good lesson that I should have known better by that stage anyway.  Just because I think I'm right and it all appears a certain way, that doesn't mean that I am right.
A moniker of humility.
I'm not surprised.

Thanks for sharing.

This is Don Porter, for anyone who is interested:
No wonder why this guy needs to send out his resumé.
Maybe he should look into with ministering to insomniacs.

If the elders have a problem with my testimony then they can make postings.

Kevin,
Why not charitably answer Rowen's and Anna's questions?
Discussing spiritual topics amongst believers is typically edifying and should be beneficial to everyone.

BTW, I don't remember you answering my question about what "Anvilhauler" means. Maybe I missed it.

Don, since scripture never talks about someone being "lead to Christ" in regards to salvation can you give a bit more detail on what you are talking about here?

Furthermore, I approached my mother and told her I wanted to be saved. She took the Word of God (KJV) and led me to Christ.

Also you have agreed to tell us why you are here.
I'm sure as an experienced trainer and teacher you understand the importance of honoring your commitments and paying attention to detail.

A person with this same "name" was asking the same type of question a couple of days ago on my YT channel.
Then demanded I make a certain profession of faith while still claiming they just wanted to ask questions.

I'll attach a screenshot.
