Ann, Welcome!
I hope you will read Chris' articles and listen to what he has been teaching. I have been relatively fortunate to come out of the leavened church buildings right as Chris started this ministry and have been blessed to be a part of it as it has grown (not without my own spiritual struggles, mind you). Look up the verses, see what it says in your own bible and the whole chapter and just keep seeking the truth of the Word. That will make the way for you. None of us can do it on our own! We need to read the word and grow in that.

I have to say I don't understand the post either. When we repent in grief and godly sorrow, isn't it a learning process from there? I don't like the new age term "progressive."

I just wanted to add a little here.
I think it was Brian Holycross that told me once that Scott Johnson was saying something very hypocritical. . . I never did look up the interview.

I would love an opportunity to try this again. I have learned some things in God's Word and would like to adapt my introduction and maybe delete my original. Since my move, I have had more time to study as I work and learn about the things God wants me to change.
I was saved at age 9 at a KJV church after a Hell fire and brimstone sermon. I knew I did not want to go to hell! So I begged the Lord to forgive me and save me, but I didn't really understand what that meant yet.
I lied. To myself, and to others.
I cheated.
I didn't treat my brothers respectfully.
I didn't honor my parents as well as the Lord's Word says to do.
I had a boyfriend I did not treat well.
I sought fame, honor, worldly music, worldly things, and vanity.

Unfortunately, as a former worship team member, I laughed hysterically and so did the boys! I don't know how they did that without laughing or more accurately breaking down. Afterward, it really hit me how true it was, even in my own life at times. Thanks for sharing it. Not just a laugh, but it made me really think.

Tell me, is it modest to work in your garden in a skirt? Is it modest to exercise in a skirt?
Is your hair short? Do you need to cover your head?
What about your feet? How is OK to expose our feet, but not cover our legs by wearing a skirt?
What about your arms? Will you cover your arms like you do your shoulders?
Personally, I see this as a distraction. Are you modest? That is what God's Word calls us to do. It does not tell us details on modesty.
