Oh ok. Gotcha. I'd love to hear your thoughts on dinosaurs, but perhaps it would be best to start that conversation by starting a new topic post? You have piqued my interest sir. I would like to hear why you think some "dinosaurs" aren't reptiles.

Wild Emails @ CLE / Re: Jim Shaw Fan-Girl Rage
« on: May 21, 2019, 05:50:15 PM »
I can tell everyone here with complete confidence that Jim Shaw was a liar and his book The Deadly Deception cannot be trusted. Masonic authorities proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jim Shaw lied about receiving the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry and other things. This is not to say that there aren't serious problems with Freemasonry, but you can't criticize an organization like the Masons with lies and no proof. Of you want to know about Freemasonry I suggest two books- Darkness Visible by Walton Hannah and Is It True What They Say About Freemasonry. Those books are filled with facts, but be warned- neither book was written by a Christian. Hannah was a Roman Catholic and the other book was written by Masons Brent Morris and Art de Hoyos, but are fact filled. I've studied Freemasonry deeper than many others care to go. You'd be surprised who lies about Masonic things and who tells the truth!

Hi there Caleb :-) thank you for asking. I love Cryptozoology and dinosaurs! I do studies on the dragons of the Bible, which I believe are sometimes referring to dinosaurs. Besides how behemoth and Leviathan picture the devil, I also believe they were some type of dinosaur. Other than that, I like to study the Creation and the symbolism of the Temple of Solomon and New Jerusalem. I spend much time thinking about how the Millennium under our Lord Jesus is going to be, how wonderful it's going to be, with a restoration of the animal kingdom. When I was a kid I liked cartoons, video games, and the outdoors. I still love the outdoors, but have pretty much ditched the video games and cartoons because most of those are ungodly. Also, be careful with some Cryptozoology books and documentaries. A lot of that is hokum and people having wild imaginations with no proof of anything really. I like studying dinosaurs, but that's also sometimes difficult as most dinosaur books and documentaries are filled with evolution and atheistic nonsense. If not for documentaries and preaching DVDs, I'd just use my TV for target practice lol. That's pretty much what I like to do- study and think about the Bible, enjoy the outdoors, watch some documentaries, play some boardgames with my wife, talk to others about the Lord and Bible prophecy and work my full time job at Lowe's :-)

Oh! That is good to know. I'm sorry about that. I'll try harder to make sure I include everything I want to say in one post. If I had done that in my testimony post, then I wouldn't have got upset and dropped into anger and sin. But, at the same time, I already had an anger problem that needed to be addressed and repented of. Thank you for the tip Jeanne :-)

No problem brother. If I saw or heard someone say that line from that verse and wasn't thinking about Philippians 2:12, I would've said the same thing or at least made sure they understood what that verse meant. As one preacher said one time, "you can't work salvation out, if God hasn't worked it in!" And even that statement must be understood only in the context of Philippians 2:12-13! Other wise someone could really mess themselves up in false doctrine!

As a matter of fact Zach, Philippians 2:12 is explained in the very next verse in Philippians 2:13 what it meant about "working"!

Hi Zachary,

I'm sorry about that brother. I didn't mean we're saved by works, I was quoting Philippians 2:12, and please know that's not what that verse is saying. I should have been more clear on that!

It amazes me that so many Christians get something as simple as repentance so wrong!

Chris, I want to thank you again on this video showing everyone what repentance actually means in the Bible. The only other brother I know of who I've found so far that defines it on their website correctly is Pastor James L. Melton of Bible Baptist Publications, who wrote:

"Repentance in the Bible has three basic elements: a genuine sorrow towards God (II Cor. 7:9-10), a genuine separation from sin (Heb. 6:1; Acts 26:20), and a genuine submission to God

Hi Billy,

I agree that David W. Daniels has amazing material on the manuscript evidence of the New Testament and does an excellent job of exposing the Sinaiticus manuscript. On chick.com on their salvation page, they define repent as to be willing to turn from sin, which is not what repent means. So far, the only King James Only brother who I've found who defines repentance correctly is Pastor James L. Melton at Bible Baptist Publications

Bible Discussion / Re: Righteous anger versus sinful anger

Right Billy! Another thing about righteous anger is that it NEVER leads to sin. Any anger that ends in sin on the part of the person who is the one angry proves that there is flesh involved.

Amen brother. A person must work out their own salvation with fear and trembling and have their own relationship with the Lord Jesus regardless of what other professing Christians do!

For example, I may agree with Ken Ham on many creation and Genesis issues, but that doesn't mean the facts of Genesis or Creation rely on Ken Ham for anything. The Bible is credible and true with or without Ken Ham.

Bible Discussion / Righteous anger versus sinful anger
« on: May 21, 2019, 01:20:07 PM »
One of the hardest things to learn as a Christian (as I recently have) is the very important difference between righteous, godly anger and fleshy, sinful anger.

I have had many occasions where I have justified my sinful anger problem by the Lord's righteous anger that we read about in Matthew 23 and other places.

When God gets angry in scripture, it's because of the disobedience and wickedness of men. That holy anger and indignation is totally righteous and justified. But "The LORD is slow to anger..." as Nahum 1:3 tells us, and as James 1:20 says "For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." I admit that I get angry when O hear an atheist mock God, I get angry when a so-called Christian mocks or ridicules the King James Bible.

But throughout my life I have had a sinful anger problem as well. The Bible also says in Ephesians 4:31 "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:" You can't claim to follow Christ and let anger reign in your life, and disobey that verse. I'm not saying you're going to lose your salvation by sinning, but you can't let that sin reign and continue in your life and disobey the Bible. The difference I have found between righteous anger and sinful anger is that sinful anger arises out of your own hurt pride and misunderstandings and the root of bitterness Hebrews 12:15 talks about. May the Lord rid all of us of unrighteous anger!

Hiya Caleb. Nice to meet you. Yeah I see many problems with Ken Ham, even though I do want to believe he is a saved man. But I've also caught Answers In Genesis writers lie about the King James Bible in it's translation choices as well. It's a shame.

General Discussion / Ken Ham's Ark Encounter?
« on: May 21, 2019, 11:22:07 AM »
Ken Ham preaches about obeying and believing the Bible, but is anyone here just as troubled as I am about the huge waste of money the Ark Encounter is?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Christians shouldn't be able to enjoy museums and learning about Bible history. I don't think there's anything wrong with a Bible based museum per session. But the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus doesn't say anything about building Ark replicas or Creation museum and either. Shouldn't that money go to feed missionaries?

Now I'm wondering what Ken Ham believes about repentance too. Again, not trying to condemn anyone unscripturally. But I just don't see these attractions as obeying the Bible. I wonder if it's a sin to even pay money to visit them?
