Please, I want to be corrected if I am wrong, but I think this question is not one we can understand.
As Zach quoted, Jesus was baptized and filled with the spirit. But wasn't Jesus also the Spirit? God in 3 persons?

Yes, I have been accused of being in a cult many, many times. They, often willfully, don't see they are the ones involved in a cult. It is very sad.

Wow! Isn't that awful? And what is worse, the leavened church is so like the world, they think they understand "god" better when they left? What did Chris read Sunday from Romans about abandoning what is reasonable? I know it was referring to homosexuality, but I think it can apply to abandoning the Lord for something that has the appearance of truth, or a lie. That is likely NIV instead of KJV since I can't find it, please forgive me.

Laura, I just want to encourage you. Chris already covered what I was thinking as I read your post. Unfortunately, I followed my husband in these matters. I wish I had known enough to take more of a stand. I hope you will be able to speak to him in a way he can truly hear you. All of us have to have information said to us in just the right way sometimes for us to truly hear what is being said.

I am stunned. I had been thinking differently about Kent Hovind in recent years with the holidays and 501c3, but this is terrible! How sad that he didn't stay anchored in the Word and do what he should instead of following his heart. Most worldly people use alphabet soup dx's as an excuse not to learn the Word of God. Just my 2 cents worth. I can attest to this personally. Praise God it is no longer true in my life.

Apparently, it is going to keep cutting me off and won't let me post it all. Just know that the Lord has been working on me. I am studying the Word daily! I have found many areas of my life lacking. I am repenting and seeking sanctification in many areas. My old life is over and I will let Him make all things new for me.
