Title: Spiritual Home of Catholics Up in Flames

I heard from some coworkers that a cathedral had caught fire.  I got on YouTube and saw the video in the link above.  I was surprised when he called the burning building the spiritual home of Catholics (all other religions welcomed).  In other words, his spiritual home is burning rubble.

I'm glad that true Christians have a spiritual home not formed with hands and are not destined for fire.

Hebrews 9:11 KJV
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Revelation 21:1-4 KJV
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

When people have the wrong idea of what a church is then it is a good thing those buildings are reduced to rubble.

I grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand.  Here is the Anglican Cathedral after the Christchurch 22 Feb 2011 earthquake.

:) It still looks the same today.

Here is the Roman Catholic Cathedral

:) It still looks the same today too.

;) The good news is that both buildings are beyond repair.

No more having to explain to people what a church is with regards to those two.

These are just little reminders of what will happen suddenly to the capital of the false religious systems of this world in the end:

Revelation 18:21 KJV  And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

I didn't bother to watch the video, only because I know the basic PR message every time this sort of thing happens. (Btw, why does there need to be a press conference? Houses burn down every day.) I can guarantee that the man in the press conference did not say "praise God for His chastening of us," because after all, they believe they do no wrong. I suppose perhaps the press conference would be have been because it was important to the public at large, who follow the Catholic cult, but also because of skeptics who I'm sure would like to know why the cathedral burnt down if it was a so-called "holy place." I don't ever recall where the temple in Jerusalem ever burnt down until God commanded it to be done, sooooo....

Translated, Notre Dame actually means 'Our Lady' so that tells you all you need to know right there. It's the house of Mary, not God. A news video I saw of the fire also said that Notre Dame Cathedral had been destroyed many times in the past but it was always rebuilt.

Some people never learn...

We probably can see what is going to happen here. The pope will say we need to rebuild it so all you poor starving people must give more. When it came on the news hear I leaped for joy. Since I was a kid I always wanted to see if the stone building can burn down. If I remember right I even pray that one of the temples burn down. Well I now know the answer to my child hood question.

No Easter service this year.  Perfect timing.

I did find it interesting that it burned that much, and while only being made of wood and stone, it didn't collapse completely into the ground, but on 9/11, a building made of steel pulverized into dust. That's odd.  ???

lol Kenneth!  I read a lot of the stupid news articles on yahoo and I saw where people were saying that they saw an image of Jesus Christ in the flames.  I saw the photos and I just couldnt see it...   Like for 9/11 I remember people said they saw satans image in the smoke.

I agree with Chris, it's funny how one building can burn as much as this and not completely collapse but yet the two towers had no problem at all collapsing into dust.  And those weren't nearly on fire as much as the cathedral.  I did happen to watch a youtube video of someone posting about what the Muslims were commenting on facebook when it was burning.  They seemed very happy of the cathedral's bonfire.

Another interesting fact is that almost nobody reported on another fire happening at the same time. While Notre Dame was burning, so was the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Caleb, you are right. I watch a few videos talking about that. Muslims and people on the left side of politics were cheering as the cathedral burned. One person posted that the burning of it was "aesthetically pleasing". Even though it is not Christian in any sense, it does show what people actually think about Christianity when they get a chance like this.

The part of the world that I am on, when a building collapsed like the twin towers, amazed me when the investigation is done and something so small is what brought the building down. But I guess it is only in America that only way a big building can come down is with super secret club and lost of explosives
