Acts 17:30 KJV  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

"And the times of this ignorance God 👉winced👈 at;"

It sounds like this may be one way to think about it.

I like that.  It sure makes me think of all the times God must have winced at me.
