Title: Hi
Post by: mrs.creationliberty on November 12, 2018, 12:51:45 AM
Hey Everyone,
I am Chris's wife, Lorraine. I am rarely ever on here, and rarely post- mostly because I hear about almost everything from Chris  :D
I own and operate a small organic produce farm and work a part-time job in my spare time.

I was saved as a child and was raised in a church going family- thankfully the church we grew up in was ok, but they did celebrate all the pagan holidays, before they went off the deep end and were corrupted by the Purpose Driven Life. I have been blessed to marry Chris, as he challenges me to be better and grow, to challenge the status quo and always ask why and what would God have me do? I don't study enough and have a lot of room to grow.

Thank you all for supporting Chris and all of his hard work.

Hi Lorraine,

I am new here. Thanks for sharing your story. It is nice to meet you! If I lived closer, I would purchase your organic produce! I am not able to buy all organic, but I do what I can. I enjoy nutrition and cooking plant-based meals for my family. It is the cleaning up part I dislike. :) We live in town and barely have a yard, but I would like to have a garden some day; even if it is in pots or planters.

Hi, Lorraine, I'm Caleb, I am an animal guy, I love his creations because they are always so unique and complex. I like to help people with information that involves animals, plants, and everything in between. I like seeing everyone's responses and their unique ideas, I can't wait to see yours.

Masha: Thanks!

Tonya:   ;)

Laura: I read your intro post but not the other one- that's great that you do a plant based diet- I was raw for a bit, and then pescatarian for about 8 years. We have gone back to eating meat but sparingly, about one pound a week for each of us. I personally think people eat way more meat than they need to as there are many other sources of protein.  Have you considered making some raised beds or just growing in pots? There is a lot that can be done in containers :)

Zachshrader: Hi Zach, the season is winding down and next week will be my last market week. From what Chris has told me you live very near us. I will have more produce (hopefully) in Febuary- cabbage, broccoli, turnips, and maybe lettuce if I manage to get it planted before the soil gets too cold. I have some lettuce left from market this past weekend- it was harvested Friday 11/9, along with some radishes and peppers. I have added my website to my profile, feel free to message me or send me an email with any questions.

Zoologistkid: Hi Caleb, I like animals too.

Zack: Thanks!

Lorraine, I was looking up just how different animals were in the past. There were salamanders with teeth that were 30 feet long (prionosuchus), lemurs the size of gorillas, dragonflies the size of hawks, and 18-inch cockroaches. What do you think about these?

Yes, the pre-flood creatures were much larger!

Yeah, they were but then there are the creatures that you usually don't see today. Like Bear-dogs, mammal-like reptiles, legged snakes, fish that were built for life on land and water (there used to be many more), a praying mantis grasshopper creature, and even mammal-like crocodiles. Which one is weirdest one of all, Lorraine?

 :D  Hi Lorraine

The fresh produce sounds delicious.  It is good to read that you are making headway and I hope all continues to go well in the future.

Hi Lorraine, so good you are here  :)

You are a very busy woman and I pray the Lord bless you and your family, and your efforts on the farm.

What a blessing to have the land to grow your food.  (It is a dream of mine, to be able to grow our own produce...but we have to leave California for that to happen, because of water prices/water shortage.  Our family is so ready to leave this state...in a few years, Lord willing.)

And what a blessing to have these men in our lives, who teach us and encourage us to be better.
(For me, it is my son Joshua who challenges me...and I have a lot of room to grow, too.)
he challenges me to be better and grow, to challenge the status quo and always ask why and what would God have me do?

We are all thankful for CLE, for you and Chris.  It is wonderful to have a place to come to, and be with true born-again Christians.

Take care and God Bless.

Lorraine,
It is great that you have tried different diets and found one that works for you. I agree that people eat far too much meat. It sounds like you use it for a little flavor, but not always the main food group on your plate. There are so many good plant food out there! My husband has really expanded his palate since we have been together.

Raised beds would be nice. I suppose you can make them as big or small as you want. Definitely something to consider for the future!
